Welsh lyrical format with eight
syllable lines, now seems sedate
after trying Walker’s last one
this one seems easier, more fun
they seem to be quite similar
the count hauntingly familiar
but I’ll still give them all a go
I’d have to be dead to say ‘no’
helps keep that grey matter ticking
so why avoid or start picking
everything new must be explored
each challenge brings its own reward
expands my creativity
tis a wondrous proclivity
a Cyhydedd Fer is a Welsh form of rhyming couplets with 8 syllables per line, inspired by Val on Murisopsis
PS Always hoping my poetry is better than my art …
