fear quenches our thirst
to explore
inventors and humanitarians
know the preciousness
of curiosity
for the more curious
we are the more we learn
depleting the toxicity
of our ignorance
opening vistas
beyond our imagination
constant learning
expands our minds
and opens our hearts
d’Verse, 44 words inc ‘curiosity’, De Jackson

curiosity is a must to live our lives with so much joy and excitement …

Your are so right. It is fear that often holds us back from exploring our dreams and aspirations! Great poem Kate.

BTW: your birds, your bird photos, and the poems the birds inspire you to write are so wonderful!
We learn so much from birds, get so much joy from them…we should take better care of them and the environment so they live on for eons…for future generations to enjoy.
I’m always in awe and feel honored when I see a bird!

this one sat on a tree at eye height, we passed only a metre away … doesn’t get more awesome than that Carolyn … didn’t need to really use my lens as we were that close!
hugs to you both, take care precious!

All knowledge is awesome (I love learning. I love knowledge. The more the better, about almost anything. I say almost for I’m sure there are things that don’t interest me). And that bird is awesome

Love that photo…certainly on the lookout for adventure! 🙂 Great poem! A happy life cannot be found without a bit of adventure; an open heart and an open mind certainly opens a lot more doors.

The poem is very encouraging and we need to be curious at times of what is happening. The bird too is apt and showing its curiosity too. Lovely poem Kate. Kate have sent you few pictures of my grandson do let me know whether you have received them.

As a Kindergarten-Teacher, mom, grandma, aunt, etc. I’ve always been about encouraging curiosity, questions, adventures, searching, discovery, etc. 🙂
I remember an old quote says the future belongs to the curious. 🙂
GREAT poem!!! 🙂

You are so right that curiosity is a valuable trait and should be encouraged! Every 2 year old is a scientist asking the incessant question “Why?” I cringe when a parent gets tired and grumpy when a child asks why…

Just don’t dare be curious when an angry mob attacks our government buildings..Let it be. Who wants to know the truth?
