life takes so many twists and turns
so rich in texture and colour
it’s all about how we cope
with each new challenge
with those ups and downs
for although it might seem a mess
a pattern emerges as we develop
going with the flow or artfully
changing direction, blending to fit
or twisting to diverge uniquely
Jackson saw my mind, how I unwind
and this is how he interpreted it
incorporating all those twists and turns
and the dull to brilliant colours
amazing how well he captured me
Jackson and I know that life is never dull!
- Convergence (Jackson Pollock) … thanks Laura!
Wow, i want you kind of mind.

You brought me along into your mind, Kate, with your powerful words. Interesting how a pattern emerges with initial chaos. Also interesting how you used the word “diverge.”

The poem is perfection amid chaos – like life we are a tangle of emotions, actions, and reactions. Truly a jumble but even with all that, the tangle reveals who we were, who we are, and who we want to become….

This is absolutely splendid! My new favorite from you 🙂 I resonated with; “blending to fit or twisting to diverge uniquely.” Yes, it makes perfect sense 💝💝

If we can follow all those twists and flows it’s really better for us all… but it can end up in a blotch if you don’t keep moving.

I like how you read the pattern of your mind in Pollock’s work!
‘for although it might seem a mess
a pattern emerges as we develop’ – so true. Sometimes it feels like such a mess…but then it all works out 🙂

Love the way you weave the poem keeping the image in mind. I agree with you life takes twists and turns but may be to enrich us, our soul. They add spice in our life and keep us moving. Walking on a straight line can be quite boring. And yes no image is boring if one knows how to interpret it.

and the dull to brilliant colours

YAY YOU! (Wonderful, relatable poem! 🙂 )
YAY Mr. Pollock! (I’ve always loved his artwork! 🙂 )
I’ve felt the same way about life and about his art…I came to see him expressing life as busy, challenging, colourful, etc., and we can choose to see it as positive or negative.
I choose positive. 😉
(((HUGS))) 🙂
