bartenders are pretty hot
for they give us the plot
to write a lot of rot
giving prompts our best shot
so why tie myself in a knot
get creative and give it all I got
no need to feel put on the spot

😀 Bartenders are hot 😉
I am sorry but I am not thinking the way it is. 😀

That first line totally hooked me in and my mind went a different direction thinking about “hot knots”. 😂 Love the pic as well!

Not all prompts are that easy… and sometimes it’s better to not than to knot.

Hahaha nice and rhyming poetry with the words Knot. Great poem, Kate.

So funny, Kate. Nicely done.
I hope you never feel put on the spot. I can’t keep up with all the prompts. 😀

Nice that you turned this round to look at the bar itself! Sometimes I’m so pleased to arrive there after a long day, I need a strong poem to calm my nerves…

A barman said to me one night
“Your mother is a whore!”
But my mother’s a librarian
She’s something of a bore
It must have been somebody else
Another mother that he saw
And yet I was offended
So I don’t drink there no-more.
44 words and hardly any of them rude!

No need, indeed! 😉
Through your poems we win the jackpot
They give us many a good tho’t
They’re always a super high-spot
And of course we love them a lot! 😀
(((HUGS))) and LOVE the photo!!!

Nice work, Kate. I struggled with this prompt; not super happy with the outcome….so I’m blaming it all on Mish. Period.
Danged bartenders!

Hehe! I’m so very choosey about writing prompts – I think yours are the only ones I really do (and even then not all of them spark my muse into action).

This made me smile, especially since I’m very bad with being put on the spot and the time-sensitive prompts always push me out of my comfort zone a little 🙂

And on the spot, you are not! 🙂

Clever and amusing, Kate! Maybe I should make the acquaintance of a bartender or two! Do you think they would converse with me if I ordered Perrier? ❤

I also don’t drink and they seem to be non-discriminating! I should add that d’Verse is called a pub and the ‘bartenders’ are the hosts who supply our poetry prompts. The only bar I’m comfortable in 🙂

Good morning Kate… I don’t do too many writing prompts, I seem to have enough to write about … or .. is my world becoming bigger as my mind is growing older, my eye-sight is aged, but my eyes are open wider, and appreciating the small events around me that matter…
