blue skies and muddy waters … a bit like life!
we often meet strong contrasts …
but note the blue sky is reflected in the shadow under the bridge

Absolutely love the reflection and contrast what with it being deep and multi-layered.

The sun lights the moon as the sky goes around in darkness. The howling wolves are lost in space. We never see the dark side. Sorry to annoy.

PS… “You may not always like what’s happening in your life, but nothing provides a person with as much potential appreciation for the high points in life as the lows. Everything we experience in life helps provide us with the perspective necessary to better be able to handle whatever comes next.
When one learns to appreciate contrast in life and accepts challenges as learning experiences they begin to see the value in all life experiences, not just the “good” ones.” – Zero Dean

Contrasts can be satisfying, they can be meaningful, and they can be plain horrible. Your bridge and the muddy waters falls in the first category, in my opinion.

It’s strange, Kate. Normally the shadow stifles the colors and here it is the opposite. Probably the particles in suspension in the water give with the light this muddy color which does not appear in the shade.
