I’m sure I hear a creak and squeal
as my mind turns it’s eternal wheel
busy thinking this and that
mad as white rabbits tea party hat
constantly churning
forward then turning
been distracted all day
the Beatles tune my dismay
revolving and revolting
this monkey mind of mine
no need for external entertainment
as my internal repertoire confinement
best tame my erratic thoughts
wiser than these worldly rorts
think I’ll start a revolution
meditation a viable solution!
The monkey mind hahaha love it.
Ah meditation is the best solution. Happy Meditating 🙂

Your last line is the answer to our tumbling whirling mind. Meditation. Beautifully written as always. xx

Love the poem! I had to make Sparky look at the photo og the garden trellis (wheels). He is on the hunt for some bicycle tires to humor me and build a visually appealing garden trellis!

Brilliant poem, SweetKate! 🙂 I can relate! Your word-pics are right on!
Mediation always helps me.
Love your wheel-wall! 🙂
Let’s keep moving forward and evolving! 😉
(((HUGS))) 🙂
PS…one time I researched John Lennon’s words on his writing their Revolution song. It was interesting.

Nice, I like that our long confinement indoors will hopefully lead to meditation and greater understanding of others. Eternal wheels, I get that sometimes.

All part of the creative process, isn’t it–the thoughts going round and round in our heads? (I often entertain myself with songs in my head, too.) 😏. But then, you get a poem–or start a revolution, so it’s all worth it, right?
Well done–I think the rhyming couplets added to the round and round feeling.

Beautiful and lovely poem. Life that is revolving like this picture, Kate and in the end it is what you said, meditation a great solution.

Sometimes it is hard to slow thoughts.
Cute monkey – I’ve got some frogs like that – they are used to go around the plant and a stake to support four of my pepper plants 😀

I really enjoyed the rhythm of this.
Meditation in motion
To slow the cognition
That leads to exhaustion
A waste of consumption
Viva la revolution
Meditation in motion
