  2. I’m not sure what my favourite saying is at the moment. In my last post (repost really but I didn’t have it on this blog) I’ve quoted a few that have meant the most to me.

    Sayings can actually really help.
    One I really like is
In a world where you can be anything, be kind.
I once made my mother a calendar, on every second page I scrapbooked a saying.

  3. If you want me to believe in miracles, turn Trump into a caring, empathetic human being (if that conversion is above even God’s pay grade, I’ll settle for just turning him into a human being).

  4. I remember an interview with Meryl Streep where she quoted two of her mother’s favourite sayings. The important one, probably very life-affirming and deep, I’ve forgotten. I remember the other one: “Never go upstairs empty-handed.” Having lived in various two storey houses I totally concur. I can’t illustrate it, though, because now we live in a flat flat. I have to think of something else to combine with a photo …

  5. Hanging on my wall (it was a gift I got back when my MIL passed as I made it for her) in counted stichery:
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.” Bil Keane (cartoonist)

And also by Bil for you: “A hug is like a boomerang – you get it back right away.” 😀
