If nevermore on earth loved ones we see
In this sad world of strife and agony,
Surely, someday in heaven we all shall meet
To lay our burdens at our Saviour’s feet,
And in His Presence may we ever rest,
Pardoned and sanctified, beloved and blessed.
an unnamed poem by Florence Clee, early 1900
We will meet.
I like to believe that the energy and consciousness that gave the person awareness still lives on, and that we don’t need to wait, for they’re always with us…

Once again, your great-aunt Florence brings us comfort and peace with her words!
Oh, I do hope she knows how her poems have lived beyond her and that she is still helping people all these years later! 🙂
Thank you, SweetKate, for sharing her poems with us! I envision her perched near your shoulder and smiling!
We should all be reading the poems written in the early 1900’s…they would give us help in our lives today!
(((HUGS))) 🙂
PS…the kitties are sweet! Looking so regal and calm! 🙂

the kitties are mother and son, we managed to get my cat friend to find home for his 4 siblings … an inner city terrace home is not an ideal life for cats! xx

It is, the trick is to see hope when we feel sad.

absolutely, most of these poems were published either on song sheets or in newspapers. Have a personal handwritten letter from Winston Churchill on his PM letterhead … but all of these were well before internet was born so her work hasn’t been passed on until now!

Wow Kate your great aunt’s poetry is again outstanding…written in the early 1900 and you posted it over a century after..then we read it with our hearts feeling the relevance of the poem.
Not to mention that she said we will all be pardoned and sanctified by our Saviour..very comforting Kate
