the dry cracked earth
is slacking it’s thirst
intoxicated by the freshness
birds are chirpy and cheeky
even saw a cow smile
water dragons darting about
all creatures are rejoicing
as we drink and sleep well
firemen are smiling again!

The rain can be a beautiful thing…especially when it is needed desperately! It is cause for celebration… Love the photo!

Rain can be so wonderful. It just happens a bit too often here.

hey our BOM says we’ve just had the driest spring in 120 years of records and the fifth hottest for the nation as a whole. With a super hot summer upon us we need it!

I hope this means more rain to come, Kate, and that the drought has broken.

long time before that will happen but facing a long hot summer with some rain, hopefully in our dams will help Robbie 🙂

one lady dumped the remains of her house outside parliament house … they are demanding action on climate change instead of a PM who says he will pray …
My small grasp of the spiritual would indicate that the prayers of the moral are more likely to be answered than empty ones from the immoral!

Glad to read the clouds we sent your way finally arrived, Kate. We have far too many and otherwise wouldn’t know what to do with them all.
Wait a second – just glanced outside and it’s cloudy. Snowing too.
Mother Nature must’ve had some left over when she shipped your supply. Use them wisely. Lord knows, we’ll get more to replace them. Forever and ever and ever…Amen.
