  1. Spent the afternoon looking for a farm in Guelph area for raspberries. Discovered I have missed the strawberry season now over!
Pick your own rasps, is $3.00 a pint, but I am too old to puck my own now. Fresh Ontario fruit is too expensive for jam making!
I am nostalgic for former times when we could buy flats of soft fruit. No farms in Guelph area….home of Ontario Agricultural is now an urban sprawl on good agricultural land!

    • how incredibly sad … I’ve spent a lot of time in Nepal and now the agriculture fields of the Kathmandu valley are built out … after their big earthquake many moved closer to live the capital as they were scared of the huge mudslides that buried their villages.

  2. OH! such a beautiful farmland photo, Kate!
Mooove over, cows! I bet chickens, pigs, lambs, etc., ❤ veggoes, too! 😉
We've always enjoyed buying from the farmer's markets…to add to the veggies we grew/grow in our garden.
    HUGS!!! 🙂

  3. We have many local farms here. Produce and animal. I get ugly produce at my local farm stand at half price. I’m going to be cutting most of it anyway. While away we saw farms with cows, and horses. That’s where we also saw a large bear lumbering off into the woods.

Quite a bit of local farmers have stands at the Market in town. But it is a bit of a bother to go there and have to pay for parking. I think most folks in the city can just walk there.
