life turns full circle upon me
for all the good and bad
that I’ve done
I’m showered with razors
or roses corresponding
to deeds and words done
when I meet someone known
they react as I’ve treated them
roses or razors once again
aware of how I treat others
taking full responsibility
for every decision and action
or inaction
for those razors and roses
will shred or bless me
result from all I have done
or not done
will turn full circle upon me

Razors and roses! What a combination! Of course, Kate, most of us say the same things. It is how we use the words that makes a difference. 🙂

So true! This is one of your bestest poems and poem-themes, Kate! Thank you for writing it and sharing it!
I wish each person in the world believed, and lived by, what you’ve shared.
Roses for you!!!

I really like this!
Treat people as you’d wish to be treated yourself
Don’t do to others what you don’t want done…
Live, love, laugh
Love, light and glitter

Some say Karma, reaping and sowing, the paths we choose in how we live with each other 🙂

I really loved the metaphors you have drawn from roses and razors to highlight the good or bad which comes to us in life because of our karma. What goes around comes around. Lovely poem, Kate.
