With vast views,
a lotus dam,
a glen of caged nymphs
I explore it’s delightful treats
rainforest behind
river then ocean in front
not close to any town or shops
but near enough to everything
natural beauty, fresh air and tranquillity
peace and privacy pervade
a few cows too distant to hear
town lights on the far horizon
double rainbow welcomed me
life here will be conducive
to meditation practice
couldn’t ask for more
no idea what’s in store
but this is home for me
What is your ideal living situation?
Have you found it yet
or still dreaming and planning …
I’m so glad you’re there! I hope and pray you figure all the amenities soon.
My ideal place would be somewhere like the lake district. Loads of green. Big gardens, trees, just green, by water, near a beach, rambling hills. I’d love a waterfall and pond on my property. The ranch:) if I ever overcame fear of animals I’d have some animals too, not sure which.

I’ve never seen “a glen of caged nymphs,” but I can’t imagine that they’re happy about being confined. However, I take solace in the words of Maya Angelou: “Even the caged bird sings.” 🙂

I am sooooo happy for you dear Kate.
The double rainbow, the lotus and the nature it’s just good omen.
I am sure you are in safe place even so remote.
Take care.

Beautiful! I’m so happy for you, Kate! 🙂 Wishing you joy, love, peace, laughter, and good health in your new home!
Your photos and poem make me think of things like: contentment, “bloom where you are planted”, Mother Nature’s masterpieces, renewal, breathing, smiling, and just feeling at home!
HUGS!!! 🙂

Such lovely words and pictures, Kate. I also enjoy a rural setting, but for a period, not all the time.

Robbie I’ve lived in the outback, in London, on the coast, in the Himalayas … basically I can live anywhere but it would be nice to live here the rest of my life … depends on the kindness of my landlords 🙂
