Whoever heard of surfing snakes!
Is this humor or dire danger …
a sign at my local beach

Not sure how to do that then see how to create pingbacks here.
If I saw that sign at the beach I’d run, fast. I’m terrified of snakes no matter how big or how small.

we have them in most places here in Australia so we tend to be a bit casual … but oddly enough nobody can tell me what type of snake and where … not heard of any that like sand or surf yet that’s where the signs are!

There’s always signs telling us what to do, or where to go, or where we should be ?? Emergency,…… Kate I wrote this one back in December
A Sign
“A castle for the healing
And the dying
There’s a blank view from behind
From behind the sign
Empty and grey
Metallic and no sky
What does the hidden sign say
The sign says to pray
In reality the hoarding is here to stay
For a real emergency everyday”

A snake crossing! I think the Aussies have the last laugh. Now everyone is searching for the ancient Surfer Snake.

I’ve seen that sign on the Internet somewhere…and I would take it as a serious warning!

Maybe ‘snake’ could be interpreted in another way… like ‘snake salesman’?
The Forsythia bushes… bunches of little four petal flowers are blooming – a sign of spring in these parts. 🙂

I don’t know about surfing snakes, but have seen big eels in ponds and lakes and they gave me the creeps!

we certainly have fresh water snakes, they swim well in floods, etc but yet to spot a salt water one 🙂

🐍 🐍 🐍 Hissss…I’d pay close attention after seeing that ssssign!
I’ve seen snakes swimming, but never surfing!
I try to pay attention to signs…not just the big metal, or wooden, ones on roads, buildings, etc., but, also, the signs life gives us internally…in our minds, hearts, body, etc. 🙂
Speaking of metal signs…I saw this one recently at Cooper’s vet’s office: “It’s all fun and games until somebody ends up in a cone.” HA! 😀
HUGS!!! 😛

lol very cute for the vets … yes I had hoped people might share those more personal signs but they have been posting about the physical ones ..

Yes, I think life, the universe, our bodies, etc, give us signs we need to pay attention, too. So does our “gut”/instincts. We need to be aware and follow those signs. 🙂

I love this sign.
They should have such signs on beaches with tourists flood.

The signs
The signs of dark
The signs of light
The signs
That mean nothing at all
We think the ‘sign’s mean something
Depends which ones
The signs that someone isn’t
Who they say they are
The signs that something
Isn’t right for you
Vs
The signs like ‘I’m late’ so
I shouldn’t go
The signs like the book fell down
So I shouldn’t read it
The signs
Some real
Some imagined
All can tell us
Something
Either listen
Or stop being superstitious.
Love, light and glitter

National park meets the beach so plenty of bush and undergrowth for them to hide in … but we can find snakes anywhere here so why live in fear …

Beware of snakes sign near a beach.. that’s unusual..
For me speed breaker signs had been a great help.. I would have lost my life many times in past if there wasn’t a speed break signs…

wow good to know that you obey them, we drive so much here that we are used to slowing for corners or bends 🙂

Well, if they care for a swim, they will naturally be seen in the vicinity of water! Lol

Hahaha nice sign and that too near the beach. I can make a sentence from this sign board by saying ‘Beware of snakes this side of the beach otherwise they will be out to eat and bite you to death.’ Nice post Kate.
