A fascinating post and curious tease, enjoyed the text and images. The second photograph is heightened in its intensity by a quality of light adding warmth and depth of meaning as befits an internal destination.

You ask for thoughts on romance, so here are a few of mine…

What is romance if not mystique?
    The way of your sway,
    Your entice, your chic.
    An excitement that thrills me,
    Each blush of your cheek.
    ~
What is romance if not preoccupation?
    The passion of obsessive compulsion.
    Your exoticism, your magnetism
    An enchanting appeal: butterflies flutter,
    In all I feel.
    ~
What is romance if not mystery?
The charm of you is all I see.
    Your allure, so pure
    A seducing feature: reducing me,
    To wild Nature.

That joy was sadly never afforded to me: I have responsibility to no-one but myself and obligation to very few. Occasionally I wonder whether fatherhood might have suited me but I am the wrong side of 45 now to consider it an option and content to roam this world ‘unimpeded’ lol πŸ™‚ Perhaps next time around – if indeed we get the option to return – things may be different, who knows? πŸ™‚

  2. Romance isn’t all about falling or being in love in that couple way, though I know that very well, but I think it is those moments of liminance where something is going on where two beings are at onement in some way.

    • oh interesting point Paul, there were certainly loads of ‘different’ versions of ‘romance’ in response to the Friday Fun but this is another dimension again, thanks πŸ™‚

  3. I am the traditional hopeless romantic..candle light dinner is one..i love surprises too, that’s totally romantic, and i blush a lot (lol) too when i feel giddy sort of…flowers and chocolates and loveletters are classics but for me that’s romance to the highest level..
