Monday December 17th was special for me
as I lunched with friends down by the sea
We ate and chatted with wondrous views
enjoying each other, dressed in vibrant hues
Presents were distributed at morning tea
stinky smelly stuff made us giggle with glee
All 43 agreed to celebrate seventeen
soda, beer or wine but no Jim Beam
Bus used but booze was in moderation
great company ensured animated conversation
We’d gathered today fully aware
that non believers stockings would be bare
With Brutus as our guide
for we know he’s never lied
We congregated on a different date
traditions should never be sedate!
How did you celebrate the seventeenth?
I’m not sure “celebrate” is the correct word to use for a day spent doing administrative and house work but I’m off to Paris tomorrow for a few days of fun. Does that count?

Not much different to me. I went to the bike shop to repair my bike this morning and then do grocery shopping. It is time to bake cookies soon:)
