hard workers

A few days later I met a hard-working family who also touched my heart.

He an older Australian who had lived for years in Vietnam and returned to Australia in May with his younger Vietnamese wife and their three yo daughter. She had a dream of finding work and then setting up her own business in a year or two, preferably further north. But they arrived in town, found a home at reasonable rent and within two months had bought a café in the central business area where I met them.

Again the town and particularly the op shops had rallied to furnish their home and clothe them. They had found care and support and lasting friendships in very little time. These are the benefits of community and the heart warming stories that inspire me to be a better person. Know that the op shops and community will rally when there is real need.

There are so many wonderful people and helpers in every community. We should honor and celebrate them. 🙂
Seems most of the time the news focuses on the not-helpful people. 😦
    HUGS!!! 🙂
