Healthy Resolution

unrealistic expectations ties you up in knots

not expressing your emotions will breed disease

communication key to healthy relationships

too many shaft another to any who will listen

rather than address their issues directly

seeking mutually satisfactory solutions …

do you express yourself honestly

or sulk and sabotage,

festering strong resentment

step up and address your issues

listen and discuss, coz dumping

toxic rubbish pollutes everything you touch

toxins linger like clouds blocking healthy interaction!

  1. So so so very true, Kate! And I love how you share such important wisdom in poem form! πŸ™‚ There are millions of people in this world who need to read this poem and live by it! Communication is so important! Most people know how to talk…but they fail at truly listening and politely discussing.
I hope you are having a grand day!!! πŸ™‚

  2. Non or lack of communication is a toxic as any poison out there. One principal at a school I taught at said this, “equally informed people rarely disagree.” It’s all about communication. I firmly believe that when we fail to communicate or don’t communicate well, our mind needs that missing piece of data and will fill it in any way it can. It usually defaults though, to the worse scenario possible.

Yes “toxic rubbish pollutes everything you touch” – well said.

  3. Community os the key and the absence of it is the reason for the demise of many relationships. Hope people are mature enough to understand its importance. Thanks for bringing out a strong point.

  4. This is something I need to work on. I’m way too comfortable telling my frustrations about someone to somebody else instead of to their face. Trying to remember that I’d prefer it if was honest with me instead.
