We watched the locals feed
Gazed at my sister’s three
Wandered around parks and historical towns
Then picnicked at Hinkler Park
What did you do on the weekend?

What lovely places and what lovely times! 🙂 So glad you saw and experienced them all!
That bird is so cute! 🙂 The pansy faces always make me smile! 🙂
We had a very rainy weekend…but got out for some walks in the lighter rain. Got a lot done indoors AND fixed some good meals AND watched an interesting movie.
HUGS and Happy New Week!!! 🙂

Beautiful photos!! Interestingly enough, I live in the Appalachian Mountains of far Western Maryland, USA, and said mountains are often referred to “Blue Mountains.”

Ours were named ‘Blue’ as they have that hue from a distance 🙂

I was in the Blue Mountains for the first time in July. I also visited our Three Sisters. On the weekend, I was at Coolangatta. It’s a rather special spot also.

The mountains look so beautiful. And the bird is magnificent. I love the Rockies here, but the forests are not nearly so lush as the Blue Mountains seem to be. .

yes, they are indeed lush and I’ve spent many a weekend hiking them in my younger years!

one valley in particular as one traverses such magical terrain but I never name it, a bit like our best beach and reef diving as we are reluctant to share 🙂

Yes, it’s a sad fact wilderness can be ruined by too much traffic.

yes once it’s on the tourist trek things go downhill pretty quickly 😦

What someone is giving the bird isn’t exactly health food, but I guess (as the old saying goes) beggars can’t be choosers. 🙂
Great pix!

🦋ah…Well, I hope you enjoyed our Blue Mountains. 🙂 Have you ever seen Janolan Caves? They are spectacular.

yes once, not near as impressive as caving in the wild!

🦋 It’s wild enough for me. LOL! Some of those narrow caves there are too tiny for me. My knees would never be the same.

lol there are some magnificent formations but it’s still a tourist cave … I’ve climbed into some fairy lands 🙂
