What provokes a strong response in you
is it anger or patience or jealousy
is it nature or shops or good food
where does your passion lie .…
When something goes down how do you react
with kind understanding or angry outbursts
do you convey warmth and ease or provoke
a nasty disease … when things go wrong
Where is your heart when there is turmoil
is it calmly beating in your chest
or stuck in your throat choking you
Do you have some control or feed the drama
Why give your emotions full reign
try moderation, as balance is key
to healthy venting without harm
Use empathy encourage the calm
For what we practise we will emanate
so choose all your habits very carefully
for they arise strongly when provoked
they can douse the fire or feed the eruption
DP: Provoke
I am trying ot balance 🙂
Not that I always win but learning my way.

Excellent reminders and advice, Kate! 🙂
Emotions can be good, even negative emotions if we chose to use them for good/for change/for standing up for wrong, etc. We have a choice as to how we will let all of our emotions out. 🙂
Your poem reminds me…I watched a new interview with Malala Yousafzai on Netflix. She definitely chose to use a very BIG negative in her life for positive/good. She could have spent the rest of her life being angry and depressed, but she is optimistic and is changing the world. 🙂
HUGS!!! 🙂

Sounds like a journey to locate BALANCE in life. I think I may have mentioned this word once or may 1,000,000 times before. 😀
The point you make is important. It creates a perception of life that either supports or opposes healthy outcomes in many cases!

Rightly said. If things don’t go my way, I react by silencing myself because honestly I can’t argue.
