Got a circuit I do most days
farmhouse near the river
pensioner’s balcony in town
park at lunch time is a sure bet!
Basically I cruise where I can get
the juiciest morsels, easier than
hunting for myself if these daft
humans want to provide but
road kill is still my favourite
fresh eyes you can never regret
they beat the packaged meat
These kind folk who feed me
have no real idea of the tasty
joy a fresh kill provides us
No idea why they need such
big nests and it must be awful
not to fly free!

You got inside the raven’s head!
We have ravens here and they can be quite chatty. They sit at the top of trees and call to Cooper and I as we are taking our walks. Some of them look bigger than Cooper! 😮
I talk back to them “How you doing, Mr. Raven?” etc., and they respond back to me.

On weekend it’s very common to see people feeding mallards the leftover bread when mallards actually have enough of natural supply from the lake 😀
