We hide from our reality by wearing various masks
or stride about in regulation costumes
to camouflage our pain. Fearful of others seeing
into our hearts not understanding that without
opening up we isolate ourselves allowing fear
and suspicion to overwhelm. Trusting with discretion
will open us to those who care, we really need real
relationships to thrive and live in harmony ….
Indeed. 💝

We do! Beautiful truth, Kate!
I try to live this way: Open mind. Open arms. Open hands. Open heart. ‘Tis a very freeing, joyful way to live.

Very true! I am often told that I am “so honest.” It’s not always meant as a compliment. And I suppose I am, but it’s not because I don’t have trust issues (I do). It’s just that at a certain age, I figured out that honesty is by far the easiest and best way to live.

Janus, always looking the other way, always the mask, never the truth. Exhausting.
