My afternoon walk took me around the river out to the ocean,
offering me a grand view of Mount WARNING,
sacred to our First Nation who claim that
the first light of every day hits its peak!
Thought our chilled northern neighbours might enjoy some surf and sunshine
Kate, I enjoyed the lovely scenery and the poem. Thanks for sharing your afternoon walk.

Lovely photos Kate. You’re so kind to share. Is this part of the same beautiful beach we walked on?

Beautiful scenes, interesting mountain name, sounds ominous. 🙂

Yes, and I was so pleased when it was announced recently that they were banning climbing Uluru. And it’s not just the climbing, because it’s a long way up: urine and faeces, batteries, plastic, clothing, all of which has contributed to the pollution/poisoning of the water holes. Grrr

Yes, a bit of surf and sunshine to thaw us, if only for a few moments.

About a week of solid rain might be nice, though ….

Surf and sunshine are two of life’s greatest pleasures…and I’m longing for both right about now. 😃

If it were up to me, winter would be outlawed. It absolutely sucks, and I think those who say they like winter are beyond insane. 😃
