Inhabit the NOW

How often is your mind absent
packed up and gone elsewhere
distracted, busy, preoccupied

When we learn to live in the present
focused, attentive, inhabiting the now
we make wiser decisions and listen

Think about those you admire
they usually make us feel heard
give us their time and attention

Those who are brash and busy
make us feel dismissed or bothersome
So make a choice to live in the now

Daily Prompt: Inhabit = to be present in or occupy in any manner or form

the cottage of NOW, my image

  1. Love the pretty cottage! And your poem! AND your poem’s important message! 🙂
It is so wonderful to be (be present) and to be ourselves! I love the people in our lives who encourage us to be ourselves. 🙂
    HUGS!!! 🙂

  2. This is lovely. Your words and the image are perfect. Where was the cottage taken? Looks super cozy. And yes to presence! What a nice take on inhabit. If only we can all be present all the time! I suppose it is a practice, not easy, but we keep trying.

    • the cottage is in the backstreets of Balmain right next to a large factory and cheek by jowl with loads of other tiny houses … you two have been quiet, how are you?

      • It looks super cute. Are all the houses like that? I wonder how noisy it is then if there is a large factory nearby. Quiet? I think we have kept with our normal posting schedule or maybe I just do not understand. We are okay in general but today I alternate with having a headache and being dizzy. Hormones. How are you going?
