When waking each morning I unfurl
[as the brightly coloured flags uncurl]
then quickly answer nature’s call
[they send their prayers out to all]
map out my week
[flapping across the snow peaks]
reflect deeply on what I seek
[and flung over the deep valley’s]
set my aims for that day
[with fluttering they fray]
start refreshed and focused
[yet the idea is truly blessed]
Best way to make the most of my life
[for it’s believed they minimise our strife]
These are Tibetan flags…Tibetan Buddhism….puja and placing if flags. Omm!!☺

Beautiful flag photo! And I love your poem! Love the words/message AND how you wrote it…it’s two poems in one! 🙂
Yes, unfurl every day and fly proudly! 🙂
Your blog reminds me of a favorite quote…
“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” Anais Nin

This sounds like a wonderful way to start a new day. I can see the similarity between this and flags when they are first raised in the morning. Just beautiful!
