Delivery

Opened the door summoned by a knock
found my neighbour there in her new frock
clutching a parcel of which I took stock

Was a delivery for me, a pleasant shock
unwrapped it contained a woollen smock,
what a totally delightful gift ad hoc

Draped in it’s warmth, winter I could mock
its cheerful colour matched my teal sock
Such thoughtfulness made my heart rock

  1. While reading your poem on my phone I stepped on a rock that penetrated my sock causing me to fall from the dock.
The above example shows why I pursued Health and Disease as a profession.

Love your creative poetry talent!!! 🙂
