Off on a travel adventure soon
so excited feel over the moon
plane departs from city at noon
Packing the essentials a real boon
toothbrush, passport and my own spoon
then off to contemplate in a quiet room
PS If you would like me to give more travel advice please just ask, I visited over 30 countries in my early twenties decades ago, plus lived and worked overseas …
daily prompt: Toothbrush
Wow.. I liked that simple poem.

Only enough to fit into an oversized backpack.

Surely not oversized, just the amount you can easily carry!

good writing and photos but as you can see from my posts that I tend to keep them much shorter … very well done for your first post, keep up the good work π

Yeah I definitely need to get into the habit of not writing as muchπ thank you for your comment x

don’t think that at all, some people prefer to read more … I added that my posts are quite short because that’s just me .. don’t compare, just be YOU π

lol your need to control is completely opposite to the way I operate Ann .. I didn’t know what to comment when everyone was so sympathetic and supportive … I was forced to go with the flow in my childhood, so guess I had great lessons then and now I see no reason to change now, good luck with yours π

Oh, never be afraid to voice your opinion, even if you are in the minority! We are all different, and that’s perfectly fine. I came from a chaotic childhood, so I take comfort in order and control. But that doesn’t mean it’s what is right for everyone, it’s just how I deal with things.

I was pretty sure that it came about as a reaction to something … but I did feel deeply saddened that so many have that need coz you must miss out on so much that life has to offer π

HA and YAY! Have fun! π
I bet you are happier than a loon
on a beautiful day in June!
Will you see a raccoon
or take a ride in a hot air balloon?
Will you encounter a prune
or a monsoon or a baboon?
Just watch out for a buffoon!
Ha, I’ll stop now…but your poem got me all -oon-y! π
I always take my own pillow, but never a spoon.
HUGS!!! π

glad the fun was so infectious .. lol am going over to monsoon and may see a few baboons so you got close … the spoon was purely for the rhythm π

Ooh on the baboons! π
We have monsoons during the Summer, so we are in the midst of them. I enjoy the rain! π

I always preferred monsoon to winter when I lived in the Himalayas π

Ditch the spoon Kate, you have over packed (and maybe even the toothbrush, but that would ruin the prompt). Enjoy the travels π

lol sounds like we travel similarly … only took that spoon for the rhythm anyway … check out a movie called ‘the Dressmaker’ very Australian but all about small town ‘stuff’, will do a revue if I find time but I get the feeling you would really appreciate it Davy π

like to see a grown man well prepared, the side slitting laughter uplifts in between the tissues so it is an emotional roller coaster π
