Nothing is concrete and permanent
Everything is constantly changing
All are subject to ageing and death
Weather wears down rocks and cliffs
Erosion affects our fields and mountains
Icebergs melt, seasons change
It’s often when we want things
to remain the same that it causes pain
WPC: Transient – the city skyline changes, the sky is moody; trees change their attire; light highlights changes
Yes, so true. Such is life.
That’s why I learned we have to be bendy…HA!…flexible! 🙂
“Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not break.”
HUGS!!! 😀

I loev teh way you’ve played the words and images, and so agree with your intent, most of all, that we are not permanent or fixed in any way. Liberating.

I like the way you’ve taken subjects that seem less transient – such as ancient castles, and autumn leaves, which appear year after year and show that they too are transient in the great scheme of things.

People like to hold on to what they know. Change is inevitable, but also frightening to many people. Those choosing to create the change themselves have an easier time. Those choosing to wait for change often do so at their own sacrifice.
