Well I may not be a natty dresser
but I certainly have spit and polish
just like this car I’m shiny and curved
Do you present a polished finish?
An exterior that may not match
what is going on inside?
Do you have posh speech;
Well presented with qualifications;
Polish your social media to impress;
Without sorting your inner jumbled mess?
As we prioritise our core values
Focus our energy to achieve our purpose
Then life becomes more meaningful
And we can drop all the false pretence
Our burden lightens as we shine true
daily prompt: Polish PS I’m more like the bike in the background 🙂
This made me laugh 😂 Good one ☝️

You’re right! Beauty and “REALNESS” inside and out helps define a person (most importantly to themselves.)

Another great poem, Kate!
Bikes are w-a-a-y cooler and more fun! 😉 😀
It’s wonderful when a person can just be themselves…and be true to themselves!
We should never judge a book by it’s cover…often the person with the “polished” exterior is hurting and floundering inside. 😦
HUGS!!! 🙂

Every year I lose a little bit more of my poshness, Frankly, I just don’t care anymore. it’s easier to be the family car that has a few dings and a lot more fun.

I haven’t worried about impressing anyone in a very long time.
I’m comfortable with who I am, what I’ve done and enjoying what I do. 😀
