Are you in the pink?
Got good health
and enough wealth
or all down the sink?
Not a ‘pink’ person
but I love a good sunset
Got the budget blues
as it’s not good news
Slug the vulnerable
and give to the rich
Got to look after their own kind
target those lacking lobby clout
No company will pay tax
say that is $15 billion they’ve axed
has to be double or more
but they will drug test the poor
How much will that cost
and what will it prove
Pollies convicted and jailed
still get a huge taxpayer pension
Lather on the zinc
and tomorrow I will be pink
for blue is really not my hue
sorry to those who don’t have a clue
Pink = perfect condition, especially health

Nicely done, Kate. I guess we must seek balance in all things eh? Financial, emotional, cerebral. How linked they all are? And how easy it is for someone to wield more influence in one of those areas for it to have potentially harmful affects on us.

Very clever. Hopefully only those living in blackened closet won’t understand the subtleties in this post. Here’s to many pink days ahead!

Thought-provoking, important words, Kate!
I am not in the pink, health-wise. But, my attitude and emotions are rosy and sunny! 🙂
HUGS!!! 🙂

I was born with a congenital heart problem, bad allergies, and asthma. So, those are things I’ve just always had to live with.
Had the cancer battle in 2015. But, I am so grateful for life and my attitude is “in the pink”. 🙂

If you are imprisoned you should have limited benefits – certainly not full pensions.
Some politicians here milk the system garnering several pensions. They should only be allowed to keep the one that pays the most. That’s something that our own Justice Jedi’s need to work on.
