Please read this BBC article about WordPress vulnerability, blogs are being hacked and or taken over due to a bug.  Have not read about it from wordpress notices, have you?

“A security flaw in the WordPress blogging software has let hackers attack and deface tens of thousands of sites.

One estimate suggests more than 1.5 million pages on blogs have been defaced.

The security firm that found the vulnerability said some hackers were now trying to use it to take over sites rather than just spoil pages.

WordPress urged site owners to update software to avoid falling victim.”

[Edited Feb 26th, please read Audrey’s comment below where she claims it was only WordPress software that was hacked and it should be ok now.  But I am reminded of a Filipino guy whose blog was hacked about a year ago – he was an artist and most of his sketches were deleted!  So this maybe a timely reminder to back up any posts that are precious?]
